What We Look for in Nominees

There are three principles that make Elea compared to other networks and communities.

Second-Mountain Ethos

Elea members have built successful companies. Now they’re redefining success — seeking alignment between who they are and what they create in the world, with purpose as their compass and service as their goal.

Humanist Inquiry

Elea members are interested in honest and raw conversations on faith, spirituality, love, creativity and imagination. They are interested in the human beings in the room, not just the dollar signs that make up an investor.

Multi-disciplinary Interests

Elea is home to many musicians, artistis, pilots, and athletes. The multi-disciplinary interests of members of the community bring depth and soul to our community.

How do candidates join Elea?
icon

Each Elea member was referred by another, creating an organic community built on trust. We think this is the blueprint for the kind of community we want to built. We get to know potential Elea members and if it seems like a fit, we invite them to an Elea Summit . . . only after getting to know each other deeply can we decide if the individual is aligned with the spirit and aspirations of the community, and if we are a good home for them. After our events we review any new folks that we may want to invite into the core Elea membership community. This includes getting feedback from our members, team, event staff, bartenders, and service staff. After getting this feedback, we determine whether they would be a good fit for this group. We’re looking for much more than just business success, but people who have a purpose greater than themselves. And embody compassion, kindness, and generosity.

More from our members

Elea is a community of people intrinsically motivated by growth and contribution rather than extrinsically motivated by financials.”

Daniel Dubois
Founder, Entrepreneurs Capital

An amazing platform for growth and deepening relationships."

Joe DiMartino
President, Radcliff Companies

Driven, definitely brave, open, movers, shakers, people who look at the world and see opportunity, people willing to feel their pain and do the work, the inner work, the hard work, which really fills me with a lot of confidence because I feel like you're in a room with a lot of achievers. And there's not always that feeling of, are you willing to go inward, not just work on the world around, outside of us, but the world inside us."

Andrea Barrica
Founder, Mahway

There's lots of groups that have people who might but have a lot, but they don't do a lot. We need people who are builders, who are active. Not who just listen to a podcast now and then or talk at a conference. The people who are actually engaged and excited about the projects that they're working on and are actually trying to help others get to where they've been able to get to in really innovative and creative ways.

Rostam Zafari
Founder, World Within

“I would say it's a group of people who come from an incredibly diverse background, but each with whom has been highly ambitious in their life, but not at the cost of other people, and have a really high moral compass, a high degree of integrity, a high degree of openness, and a willingness to get to know one another and see what unique gifts come out of those conversations."

Ryan Cummins
Founder, Tiny Prime & Omaze
