Rachel Springate, Founding Partner of Muse Capital

Industry: Venture Capital

Location: LA

Rachel is the co-founder of Muse Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in overlooked and untapped consumer technology opportunities across the future of how we Care, Play, and Live. For the past eight years, Muse Capital has backed category-defining companies in sectors where innovation and investment have historically lagged, with a strong focus on women’s health. However, the fund had also made other successful investments in sports and entertainment, and she hesitated to tell the story of those investments as they fell outside the fund thesis.

It wasn’t until her conversation with an Elea member in her forum who had led and successfully helped multiple funds with the same issue that led to a major breakthrough in seeing the cohesive thread that existed across all her investments. In one two-hour forum, she walked away knowing how to frame the story of her fund in a much more powerful way.

“Generally in life, I feel that very successful people never have a safe space where they can be and share these things they wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with others. And you've created that here. I've never been to a place where I'm able to be this open, this vulnerable. That is a very, very powerful thing to do and create. And it's been extraordinary. All the conversations I've had.”

“I feel very lucky to have known about this community for a long time and just witnessed the work and the research and the incredible care and dedication that you've ever had.”

Elea accepts a small number of founding partners of venture funds into the community. We favor those who have come from outside the industry, embody the entrepreneurial spirit of a builder, and know what it feels like to build something great from nothing. After meeting and being inspired by renowned artist manager and angel investor Troy Carter in 2012, Rachel moved from London to NYC, pivoted from her corporate sales and business affairs career, and used her global network with the world's leading CEOs, including Amex, Gucci Group and LVMH to build companies for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Today, Rachel’s fund has been named the leading seed-stage venture capital firm 2025 by the Wealth and Finance International Investment Excellence Awards, and their portfolio includes MIDI Health, the leading virtual clinic for women over 40; CoFertility, a fertility platform reinventing egg freezing and donation; Mahmee, a maternal healthcare platform improving outcomes for mothers and babies; Eli Health, a real-time hormone tracking technology precision health; and Conceivable Life Sciences, leveraging AI and robotics to enhance IVF lab efficiency, precision, and access.
